Hope?Why is it that hope is so universally thought of as a "trite" subject?  Why do people want more to read about angst, sadness, depression, and fear?  Hope is not an easy thing to discuss.  Most people that listen to conversations about hope are too willing to think, "that's easy for you- but I could never do that."  I'll admit, hope is not easy to keep, but it is one of the mostprecious things a person can have.  Whether you hope in a hereafter, or hope that a relatioship sill last, hope that your loved one will be ok or hope that everything will work out in the end- it is hope that can be the Hope?

Think before you...There is a problem with people in this country and it extends into all age groups, races and genders.  The problem is most simply broken down into calling it a lack of consequence. The most dire part of this social problem is that it is spreading like AIDS did in the mid 80’s… undetected and underapprecitated in its importance to everyone.     
There is very little acknowledgement of anyone’s actions having repercussions of, on or to anyone else with their words or deeds. Most people refuse to see what they do as being wrong.  More to the point, it seems that some people may actually get some perverse g Think before you...

Smile or Frown"Oh, that isn't gonna work.  How many times do I have to tell you that?"  "Ya know,  I don't care how many times you have to tell me that, I'M gonna MAKE it work!"  Sound familiar?  There is a stereotypical conversation between a pessimist and an optimist.  I'm not going to dumb down and define what a pessimist nor what an optimist is "by definition."  If you can read a dictionary, then you can find out.  But what I have been thinking about is what makes them do what they do?  Why do they think like they do?  What motivates them?

Sense- is it really common?I was thinking the other day about all the things that people do as habit.   Then it came to me, are they doing thing because they really know what they mean or do they do them because they always have?  I mean, really... think about that.   How often do you do stuff that at the time seems well thought out, only to realize later how stupid it really was?   
I was out driving home from a friend's house last week and saw a lady drive right off the on-ramp for an interstate.   She was only shaken up and her car wasn't all that banged up.  I wasn't on duty, but I was on th Sense- is it really common?

Been a while...

Ok.. so it's been a while since my last post. And those of you that know me, understand I would normally have not waited a year before doing an update. I just realized I hadn't updated this thing since my surgery and went "Whoops!"

So, first of all...

We have all managed to survive another year relatively unharmed. /cheer
The surgery went well, rehab went well, and I went back to work at the security company. I would love to say that my life has been exciting for this past year, but that would be a bit of an exaggeration. Well, no... That would be like saying Congress has a history of fiscal responsibility. "Lather, Rinse, Repeat" is more of the mantra for the past year. And scary as this seems, I liked it.

Secondly... Thursday nights... WATCH BURN NOTICE!! THE MOST AWESOMEST SHOW EVER- Besides for Brisco County, Jr...-- BUT OMG!!!

Sorry, had to geek out for a moment. It's just really exciting when Bruce gets a show to do for some steady work and it's not aliens, zombies, B grade... or B grade zombie aliens... or Alien Zombies with B Grades... but I digress..

Thirdly.. and most importantly, because 3 is the number and the number shall be 3. 4 shall not be the number, and 5 is right out.

Drop me a line about something that you would like to see me talk about, write about, or generally "Buddha-cize" in my own unique way. My muse is wanting to do something, but I have no ideas for topics right now. I will be more than happy to give credit where credit is due for all suggestions!
